Some New Designs from Xn Chainmail

Lately it seems I have the tendency to surround whatever I find by chainmail frames :) I hope you enjoy these new models of accessories I made by this technique. Please also feel free to leave me your opinions and suggestions:

While working on a piece, I also love to make improvisations.
Things turn out to be very different sometimes and I like that dynamism of
chainmail a lot!
On the other hand, I do not work with tutorials and always figure out
things by myself so sometimes a pendant like this can take 5 hours to finish,
in order to make the ring sizes match correctly without getting too tight or
loose.
I have a little, magical, very sweet inspiration as well.. You see a small part of her below but I will share more pictures in the upcoming posts :)
No, unfortunately I do not work for NASA, yet.. :) And maybe chainmail is way too heavy for them..

NATURAL STONES IN CHAINMAIL ARMOR

I usually collect a few souvenirs from the places I have been to, but I prefer mostly the natural ones. Sometimes a small bottle of sand, sometimes leaves, shells and mostly natural stones. Instead of keeping such things in boxes, I like to see them. Glass jars, small bottles, decorative small plates are ideal for such displays. And I have one more idea to keep them even closer.
So here is a natural stone found from the seaside and surrounded by a chainmail armor (I polished this one but it can also be left unpolished):

Back to chainmail again. Here are some new stuff I made in the past weeks: A shoulder piece (originally aimed to be a bra but I like the sudden change of ideas), some new pendants and a Byzantine medallion.

Handmade Baby Dragon

I like working with clay very much. Especially in times of problems, it is a good way to escape from thoughts and all the boredom. I tried to make a mini dragon this time. I used normal clay (not polymer clay) and I air-dried it. Then handpainted and varnished.

I made this dragon eyes by using various materials such as foam, clay, metal scales and glass. Back part is covered with eva and it has a strong magnet attached. The dimensions are app. 4.5 x 6 cm. Most people find these eyes weird but still I love them :)

Metallic Scale Maille Pendant

This one is a quite plain pendant with a very thin chain and somehow it became the center of attention by many friends. I like it also.

Chainmail Pendant With Amethyst Stone (along with another friend of mine "Sobek")

I used Byzantine pattern in this piece, connected it around a bigger ring and attached an amethyst stone in the center.
In the picture there is also a character from my reptile collection. His name is "Sobek". Some of you may remember that name from Egyptian mythology. He is one of the gods in ancient Egypt and is depicted as a crocodile-headed man with a feathered crown, rarely as a full crocodile. In times of need he gives the pharaoh fortitude and strength. He also protects him from all harm, especially evil magic.
