So here is a natural stone found from the seaside and surrounded by a chainmail armor (I polished this one but it can also be left unpolished):

NATURAL STONES IN CHAINMAIL ARMOR
Pin It
I usually collect a few souvenirs from the places I have been to, but I prefer mostly the natural ones. Sometimes a small bottle of sand, sometimes leaves, shells and mostly natural stones. Instead of keeping such things in boxes, I like to see them. Glass jars, small bottles, decorative small plates are ideal for such displays. And I have one more idea to keep them even closer.

Indispensable parts of me: Pliers
Pin It
After almost 15 years, I can confess that I am addicted to my chainmail rings and pliers. I sincerely feel uncomfortable when I do not carry them with me so you can see me mailing in a cafe, on the ship or anywhere else. Sea shore is also one of those places :) -Yeah this is my style of resting-

"Not every witch lives in Salem" 🍃🔮🌿

The scent of a spice, tranquilising effect of crystal stones, a touch of color on plain paper, continuing lines of knowledge in the search for wisdom, sitting by candle light, listening to the sounds of the sea-shells, in front of staring dragon eyes, little bit of green accompanying some purple..
So what I'm saying is..

My Rhodes Vacation - I
Pin It
I was on my summer holiday all through the last week and it was really a good one. I spent it in a Greek island: Rhodes, island of the knights :) After that holiday I guess I complimented on the place so much that 3 friends of mine decided to go there. So let me give you some more details as well:
It is a famous historical island with population of 116.000. Historically, Rhodes is famous worldwide for the Colossus of Rhodes, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World and the medieval Old Town of the City has been declared a World Heritage Site.
I found our hotel from booking.com and got very satisfied with it. Also the location is perfect with just 1 minute walk to the Old Town center. In this island you can rest, eat good food, enjoy various kinds of local souvenirs, enjoy the turquoise sea, see historical sites and remainings and of course taste the unique booze "ouzo". You can also go on a boat tour that stops by the other beaches and popular spots.

You can see medieval-knight-themed objects everywhere and for me it is like a heaven. |

There are a lot of different beaches in Rodos and this one is in Lindos. |

I think the best season to enjoy the sea and all these things is between July-August because since it is an island, it is quite windy and that goes very well with the hot weather, but I am not sure about the same effect after September or October.

X-Painted Rocks
Pin It
I spent my weekend outside the city again and had some quality time by drawing, reading and sleeping (which I do for a very few hours normally). Since unfortunately last 10 days were busy with consequent and unexpected funerals, I was very upset and didn't want to spend time in the city, in crowd so such a weekend turned out to be a good support for me.
This time I tried a new practise: Painting on rocks. It is a guaranteed way to keep your mind away from problems or basicly everything so even if you think you don't have the skill, I recommend you to try this at least once (and collecting these on the shore itself is a therapy as well).

Weekend Home-Atelier
Pin It
In the weekends I like spending time mostly at home and working on my chainmails and artworks or reading because unfortunately I have less time for these in the weekdays since I work. I also like going out at nights with my friends or family so I try to be productive and enjoy myself in the day. Every weekend, after waking up early and going out for a walk on the seaside for a few hours, I like coming home, having a good breakfast, maybe watching a movie and then starting to work on my things. It doesn't sound so attractive but when you wake up early, you have time to do these all so I prefer that way.
Here is a picture of my working space from this last weekend (I hope I will share the final products soon:)
