Snails Hidden in the Backyard

Pin It       We come across these small creatures almost everyday, especially after rain, but unfortunately most of them are not so lucky to come across human beings since it means a giant foot on them. Therefore in rainy days I spend a good amount of time to pick snails on the road to prevent them from turning to jelly and dying in a dramatical way.
All in all, I like snails, I like their gentle, hesitant movements along with their curious faces. So what do I do as usual? Make some snails myself :) Here is my hand-painted version with clay and glass marbles:

Handmade Baby Dragon

Pin It       I like working with clay very much. Especially in times of problems, it is a good way to escape from thoughts and all the boredom. I tried to make a mini dragon this time. I used normal clay (not polymer clay) and I air-dried it. Then handpainted and varnished.

Pin It       I made this dragon eyes by using various materials such as foam, clay, metal scales and glass. Back part is covered with eva and it has a strong magnet attached. The dimensions are app. 4.5 x 6 cm. Most people find these eyes weird but still I love them :)

Knitted Ant Jumper is Finished!

Pin It       As you may remember, I have been knitting another unique design jumper. I didn't want to leave it aside unfinished so yesterday I finished it. I am very satisfied with the final product. (Because sometimes, after all stitches are done, you wear it on and see that the shoulders ended up as sharp cones :) Luckily that was not the case this time and here it is:

Wire Ballerinas

Pin It       I have been dealing with my translation works and readings lately so I wasn't able to do much handworks. Here are some examples of the few ones I made: Ballerinas made of colored wire.
I stuck them in tealight candles but they can also be hung with a thin nylon thread as well

A New Project: Knitted Jumper in Progress :)

Pin It       I started a new project and in order to finish it quickly, I have been knitting all day long :) This time it was bit of an overdose so I forced myself to stop after I finished the front piece. Now this is the vintage-colored jumper in progress:

Yeah, some kind of an insect again, as usual... :)

Knitting Season Has Started!

Pin It       One of the most comforting hobbies in my life is knitting, especially in winter time. I really forget all the other things and clean my mind or if I need to think about a project, idea or just some "thing", it is also a good way to concentrate. After a couple of hours, you will not believe how much you've progressed.
Nowadays it is not yet the real winter but I decided to start my favorite season with knitting :) Here is a blue hemstitch cardigan that I knitted:
It was supposed to look like vintage and I still doubt that :)

Satin Flower Necklace

I made these flowers from satin fabric. I connected the petals with a crystal bead in the center and attached to a thin ribbon. From these flowers a lot of things can be created. I will share them here as well.
