I am going on with my girls coming from another time, another place... This time connected to the outer space...

The planetary symbols are as follows in order from top to bottom:
Moon / Sun / Pluto (Astronomical) / Pluto (Astrological) / Neptune / Mars / Venus / Jupiter / Uranus / Saturn / Mercury / Earth.

And still everywhere is a working space

X-Painted Rocks

Pin It       I spent my weekend outside the city again and had some quality time by drawing, reading and sleeping (which I do for a very few hours normally). Since unfortunately last 10 days were busy with consequent and unexpected funerals, I was very upset and didn't want to spend time in the city, in crowd so such a weekend turned out to be a good support for me.
This time I tried a new practise: Painting on rocks. It is a guaranteed way to keep your mind away from problems or basicly everything so even if you think you don't have the skill, I recommend you to try this at least once (and collecting these on the shore itself is a therapy as well).

My working space

One of my favorite creatures next to one of my favorite fruits.

It felt harder than drawing on paper because of the ragged surface and I like working with very thin pen but it turned out to be a bad choice since it is impossible to varnish without smudging the ink so acrylic paint with brush is the thing you shall choose.

New Series of Black & White Illustrations - No.I

Pin It I started to work on a new illustration theme: Framed victorian-gothic portraits. Following is the final product of my first attempt and my working space:

At the backround you can see the rest of my art supplies that I use for painting rocks or some other surfaces but for my illustrations I use mostly ink. (Yes, as usual my tarantula "Safir" is also there:)

My Paper Doily Illustrations

Recently I decided to try a new material to draw on and started with these paper doilies. They are quite textured so it is a bit hard to move the pen on but I think it also creates some kind of effect so I like it. Here are the three of them:

Black & White Drawing on Craft Paper - ExLibris

Sometimes it is good to have the lack of something. Recently I don't have the digital programmes that I'm using so I concantrated on my drawings again. I think that sharing or feeling the need to share is an important motivation to produce as well.

My Drawings - 4 (Mixed Technique)

This one is a mixed technique with one of my drawings digitally attached to one of my photographs taken in Cappadocia (I am sure you have heard about or already been there but still I will write about this place soon because it is a unique historical landscape in Turkey with a high plateau over 1000 m in altitude that is pierced by volcanic peaks)

My Drawings - 1

Pin It       I recently organised my external harddisk and spent quite a bit of time on going through my 15 year old stuff (by the way it should be done periodically but if you do it after a long time it is also enjoyable to come across a lot of stuff that you have stored). Among my picture files, music albums, digital books, craft archive and lots of other things, I noticed my drawings. I have been drawing since I was 4-5 years old and it is identified with me almost since then. I concentrated on drawing especially between the ages of 17-22 and I am still doing it with great passion. Here is one from the past years:

This is from 1999 when I was 19 years old.
